Seek Inspiration

A sports fanatic, any sport you name it, I'm sure I watch it. I swear by Liverpool, You'll Never Walk Alone.

I use this space when I seek inspiration in pictorials.

I may frequent this space to blog about my adventures, they aren't very exciting but I adore sarcasm.

O-Day: Of Scantily Clad People.

Perth, WA - It’s O-Day happening at the James Oval. The clubs have booths allocated for them to recruit members. In comparison to TP’s CCA Recruitment Drive, this is on a scale much larger but with scantily clad girls and girls in bikinis. It’s summer, we all need to dress to beat the heat or whatever it takes to recruit more members.

The thing that I don’t really like about some clubs/students’ union or whatever they call it, the events they organize are usually parties, revolve around alcohol and such. That’s my impression of these clubs and well, they do not have much restrictions. Parties are not for people with my age.

I penned down my name with the UWA Athletics’ Club, just clarified that it has nothing to do with sprints but anything above 5,000m. Good! That’s my kind of distance. I also signed up with UWA’s Relay for Life team, it’s a team that runs/walks to raise funds for cancer patients. There is a 24-hour fund raising event held annually in school premises. I wanted to do that last year but there wasn’t any available slots.

Students who enroll in mid-year do not have the privilege of an event like this, very much smaller scale and recruitment wasn’t aggressive. I’m glad that I have the chance to experience O-Day, join some running teams and meet like-minded runners, it’s damn boring to be running alone every other day and the path you run on do not have faster runners to push you.

Till then, I need an ice cold beer to cool down, it’s scorching!
